 Aboout CA uniforms
During the time before the establishment of the Coastartillery 1902, the personell wore uniforms from the Navy or from the fortresstroops. The first few years after 1902 the difference was not so big. But in 1942 the Coastartillery got it's first and only own uniform.

This page will try to describe the uniforms of the Swedish Coastartillery, with the help of a few  photos.

Kustartilleriets "egna" uniform.

From model/1952 the CA followed the armyuniforms, apart from difference in how grades were worn. The fielduniforms model/1958 and model/1959 was introduced. Variants was used as the model/42-58. During the 1990s the Uniformssystem 90, FU90(BDU90) was introduced.

During the end of the 1980s the Coastartillery returned to the blue uniforms and model/1987 was introduced. Officers and Warrant Officers was again issued with jackets with two rows of buttons. Corprals and privates was issued with a jacket with a single row of buttons.

With a bit of humor you could say that the photo shows the CA's first and last hat.
